Bring A Touch Of The West To Your Home With A Leather Pillow Set
A leather pillow can be very simple, a smooth soft leather or suede in an elegant square design, or it can have a touch of the wild west. Decorative leather pillows with a western flare give a rustic wild touch to a room. They are great for decorating cabins or country homes and can be matched with other accessories to give a feeling and ambiance that is from another time.
Most commonly a leather pillow will be made from suede or a finished smooth leather, but it could also be made from cow or sheep hide that still has the hair on it.
There are many different finishing techniques that can be used to give a leather pillow that uniquely western touch. Tassels are often added. The pillows can be beaded or have a design burned into them. This way you can get a few different pillow covers and switch them every once in a while for something a little different.
One other thing to keep in mind is that a leather pillow will need to be treated with a conditioner every so often to prevent the leather from becoming dry and cracking. Suede and leathers that do not have the hair removed will not need to be treated, but other leathers will. Conditioning the leather will give your pillows a longer life and keep them looking good.
